The Road
This road is dark
I feel alone.
No moon, no stars
to lead me home.
Through a forest
dark and deep.
Past thorns and vines
where monsters creep.
A thousand eyes
can see my soul.
They know my walk
takes such a toll.
But walk i must
keep up the fine fight.
I'll see i'm not alone
at the end of this night.
Because soon comes the sun,
and freedom at last.
Free from hurt and from pain.
Goodbye to the dark past.
