The River

THE RIVER You give me water I may drink That I may never thirst again You clear my mind that I may think That I may know you as my friend I hear the living waters run I feel I've found the missing link I feel the warmth of your dear Son You give me water I may drink In peace I hear the waters song Sings sweetly to me in the wind It makes me feel like I belong That I may never thirst again It brings peaceful joy to my mind When troubles bring me to the brink It is the sweetest joy I find You clear my mind that I may think It's my greatest honor for sure Always will be to very end You cared and knocked upon my door That I may know you as my friend When at the gates, what will I think? That river from the throne of grace Be there faster than eye can blink And once more I'm sure I can say You give me water to drink
