The Rise,The Fall, Arise
THE RISE, THE FALL, ARISE
One moment I am among the stars
Looking down to them as they work and walk the earth
Nothing compare to my lengthy altitude
I am high, I am tight, and I am composed
How I came up here, a dark secret
That I wish to remain here, a white truth
How I intend to hold on, a red challenge, as
Everyone down there blink in my direction
The rise was long and tiresome
So I realized on first arrival
The arrival was sweet and ceremonious
Satisfaction after exhausting action
Up here, I have stayed long, so long
Wondering how long I could remain
Like an island, I venture in isolation
How I wish time could freeze as now
As it so happen, I might slip, slip and fall
Fall I might, and land among the rocks
No doubt, the fall will be bitter and scandalous
Shame and pity will litter upon me
I will be low I will be loose I will be shapeless
Nothing will then compare to my lassitude
They would curiously blink down in my direction, as
I would then look up to them for a lift
Their utterances, I know by heart already
Their actions I have already noticed
Their gossip will not be soft enough
In their conference, my name will top the agenda
A pity they know not
A quitter I am not
Don’t they reminisce?
I know the way, back up THERE!
