The Ringmaster
You were the Ringmaster
Announcer of the show
But now that you are leaving, there will be no more entertainment
we have to let you go
The lights will dim, the noise will not arise
There will be no more acts to follow, they will be put aside
The laughter, the jokes, the gestures you've made
will lay silent, deep within the night
to realize that this is a flight.
A journey that you will venture, to greater audiences
One that calls for an abundance of a crowd larger than life
This new performance will be active in the light
The dark will seem like a thing of the past
Your new review, will come up fast
You'll be announcing a new career
One you've waited for more than a year
You'll shine, brighter than the stars
You'll be the greatest by far
Yes we will admit, it's sad to say adieu
But most of all, we'll be missing you.
