The Right Words To Say

"The Right Words To Say"

Even as this is being written
and in the attempt of thoughts to convey,
the very process of doing this very thing
                                      involves knowing
                              "The Right Words To Say!"

Sorting through the vast multitude of thoughts
                            and seeking every which way,
we will write, rewrite and write it again
                                         trying to find
                              "The Right Words To Say!"

How many crumbled pieces of paper
end up tossed and literally thrown away?
They didn't meet the goal of pen in hand
                                     and they weren't
                              "The Right Words To Say!"

                           Sometimes frustrating moments,
                                             "Aargh!!!....
become the order of the day!
We might feel the need to throw
                                    the hands up and shout....
"GIVE ME THE RIGHT WORDS TO SAY!!!"

                           Creativity and inspiration for poets
is what produces the fragrant bouquet
                              of aromatically imaged poems
                                       with the scent of
                                 "The Right Words To Say!"

So whatever we do, we can't stop writing!
"Poetry Soup" has so much talent on display!
The JOY is in reading, writing and meeting others
                                    who eventually found....
                                 "The Right Words To Say!"

Sometimes a write spills onto the paper and other times, those struggling times, I have learned to walk away, marinate on it and let it come to me. That being said, I invite you to read one of my earlier posts, "Rhetoric Lost Cost." I think you'll like it. Your poem for poets is ideal for this site and its writers, uplifting and encouraging, not to mention - TRUE ... CayCay

this is a very cool poem on the process that many of us go through when writing. Oh, my, you should see all the crappy looking pages I have in my old notebooks!! Nicely done.
