The Ride

She rode unsaddled on the mighty horse.
Her hazel hair flew haphazardly and coarse.
They crossed the rippling river, laughing with flair.
They rode to the ranch, her husband waited there.
Yet she needed his love and climbed quickly upstairs.

I love the striking contrasts of this poem, Victor. The openness and freedom of the wide, wild outdoors, and the sudden calm of the romantic conclusion, is a lovely variance. :)
