Mary had a little lamb, Her Father shot it dead. Then it went to school with her, Between two hunks of bread. Mary came home from school one day, And declared she is now a vegetarian. She considers, she then went on to say, Anyone that eats meat is a barbarian.

I can imagine that in some cases growing up on a farm and realizing that you are eating your "pets" would turn a child into a vegetarian. Its an ending I personally would have never thought of, but it makes sense. Congratulations on your win in my contest.
