It’s April in Paris and romance is in the air
It’s pouring with rain, but we don’t have a care
We’re huddled beneath my new red umbrella
My beau bought it for me, he’s a sensible fella
All of a sudden he drops on one knee
He says ’darling I love you, will you marry me?’
My eyes fill with tears, I shout yes, yes, yes...
I’ve got my heart set on a couture wedding dress
From a velvet lined box he produces a ring
A diamond solitaire it’s just the perfect thing!
My heart skips a beat as it’s slipped on my finger
we must set a wedding date, I don't want to linger
I’m dancing on air with such romantic bliss
Our lips lock together in a passionate kiss
