Conversation with my hubby:

"Dear what day is it?"
"It's Monday"
"What time is it ?"
"9.30pm"
"So is it Monday today or tomorrow?"
"Its Monday now. After midnight tonight it will be Tuesday."
"What time is it tomorrow?"
"Time hasn’t started tomorrow. We have nothing planned for tomorrow. Were you thinking we did?"
"No, the garbage goes out Monday but its not picked up til Tuesday"
"Yes but I already put it out on the street"
"That my job."
"I am glad you remembered that, but you haven’t done it for a long time."
"Well I will do it tomorrow."
"OK you can bring it in tomorrow. I always bring Tony’s in too. He is ill and Nancy doesn’t get home til after dark."
"Were is the key to their gate? "
"We don’t have a key to their gate."
"I need a key."
"When you bring their bin in tomorrow just leave it outside the gate if its locked. They don’t lock it usually on garbage days"
"I will go now and bring them in."
"No they haven’t been emptied yet."
"Today is Monday. There is no need for you to get them."
"Yes but its my job to take them out. I must get them in so I can take them out on Monday."
"Today is Monday. There is no need for you to get them."
"Yes but its my job to take them out. I must get them in so I can take them out on Monday."
"Ok, I don’t care. I am going to bed. Good night."
"Dear wake up, where are the pegs that hold the liner in place in the bins?"
"They are on the back patio, I took them off so that the liner will fall out when the garbage is collected."
"I need to put them back on. Its my job to take the pegs off."
"OK"
"Where are next doors pegs?"
"They don’t use a liner, they aren’t messy like us. I am going back to sleep."
20 minutes later…" Dear, wake up.. I need help."
"What do you need help with?"
"I need help picking up all the garbage off the pavement. Our bin tipped over. There is garbage every where."
"OK. I am coming."

Funny poem! You are a clever one. I tried what you said below to Valsa. It still went to error page. Valsa is jinxed to me

Wendy, such a situation can drive any one crazy. Glad you remain sane even in such trying situations. It is evident that both of you are such patient and understanding people ready to help anyone. Only thing your husband has begun suffering from dementia. Your patience keeps the house a place of peace. So admirable...! The poem was so intriguing !

I am not always patient and angelic Valsa. Like anyone I have my moments of anger and frustration. I have learned to tell myself "he cant help it" but this is the man I married. its hard to always accept that now, sometimes, he acts more like my child. Hey did you get in touch with Andrea? She has been trying to comment on your lovely poetry but it doesn't work.

Remember when garbage was simple, now you need qualifications just to use whatever colour it is that week. I myself am in charge of bins. I like the red one for bodies.

Well my dear friend, it wasn't intriguing, it was messy !! heheheh. My patience wears thin, but luckily it hasn't worn through yet. Nicest thing you could have said "Thankful I am here.". I am glad I am here too my lovely friend, I cherish the nice people on this site. You are all a Gift from God.

Genius! I was laughing so hard and crying at the same time, bi-polarish I guess, my partner calls it roly-poly. Amazing is your strength and love. The image you posted set the mood and is also amazing. Give Merv a virtual hug for me! "Patience Is A Virtue"

We once had a Labrador that would escape and knock over large council Bins. Never thought I would have a husband that did it. The thing with the Lab was, he only did it so he could proudly carry a shopping bag full of stuff home, like he saw us doing. He would leave the bag at our back door to add to our grocery order, after he had trotted home with it.
