The Real You

Thru darkness unknown to you
you speak the truth
but no one hears
You're all alone in a world of dreams
but you can't wake up
No one knows you're gone
The pain you hold is a secret from all
Nightmares played all over again
But no one knows the pain your're in
"I know how you feel," they tell you
But you know they'd never understand
the true meaning of alone
You reach out for someone to talk to
but no one is around
Silence fills air
Trust is something they take for granted
Whispers fill the universe
No one ever keeps their word
They don't really mean what they say
They keep their sheilds of lies
No one knows what true pain is
Everyone regrets their past mistakes
But only the future matters
Nothing you do will ever change that
So why stay so involved
The future is your life ahead

Raw emotion right here. This piece is simply beautiful from it's core to the end. Basic and understandable to all. A meaningful piece talking about trust and pain. Experience in our daily life actually. Opening up to someone is basically hard even to family members. Yet, we have to move on, and look forward to the future. This is all completely correct, yet, the past stays with you, basically, haunts you. I hope you can find someone who can hold you when you need to be hold. Great write, Sami.
