The Real Me: Ever-Nightly's Craving; Thirst (Deleted Scene In the "evernightly" Series)

trapped in a suffocating heat,
caged in branches like an animal in a cage,

my prince has vanished,
my eyes are suddenly filled with a red and black rage,

boiling deep in my core,
running hot in my veins and heart,

i feel the need start,
to scream, to shed tears and blood,

i am no longer in control of my body,
my thoughts or my actions,

all i see is my prince....
i see him bloody and beaten.......

i see me standing over him.......
drenched in blood that isn't my own,,

wallowing in tears that gush down my cheeks,
in choking gasps and thine tears,

i drown. finally a sight that I've lived to my rep,
a sight so devastatingly unsightly,

a sight that makes every logical human being
fear the half-demon, Ever-nightly.

the taste of my prince's blood on my lips stay on my tongue,
the scars are permanent, irremovable.

strangely, deliciously sweet,
i have not experienced a taste like this before,

i now realize that.....this...blood.....
this sweet, lavish liquid,

i crave more.

I dont think it is true couplet form, however, very appealing and deep. I love the theme. ~Randa
