The Real Me
~The Real Me~
When I close my eyes, I see you walking through my mind
Turning every corner, wondering what you will find…
You take a twist and dive on in
Not knowing if you are yang to my yin
You dodge around what you don’t like
And search for something that seems alright
Each twist and turn you follow through
As each door closes, you open a new
You are searching for the real me
I wonder if you will ever see
The person that my words reveal
Like the onion with many layers to peel
May not be what you are searching for
But don’t close your mind like any door
Keep on searching and you never know
My grey matter that’s like grey dough
May one day surprise you well
But this is not where you need to dwell.
You lift me up when I feel down
My words some think are from a clown
The real me is in there somewhere
And this will be my little prayer
That the real me you will one day find
And then introduce me to my mind ……….
