The Real Gods of Wind

The real gods of wind - Oh these have to be male They can produce wind at will And with force they exhale Often ready with a belch or a fart They have this bodily function down to a fine art 12~17~14 N/a in Contest: The God of Winds submitted to Applicable Not Applicable Contests Poetry Contest sponsored by Richard Lamoureux Research for the poem is from real life experience - inspired by my father and the other men in my life but I especially need to give credit to a student I worked with I will only refer to him as 'beanz boy' !!! (You did say on the rules to have fun… so I did!) Poets notes All the winning poems were serious ... and I don't think the sponsor appreciate my wit I but from the comments I received at least I made folk smile 12~17~14

Yes, she said have fun and you sure did my friend! HILARIOUS...Reminds me of my late father-in-law who would often tell the grandkids 'Pull my finger' and then he would cut loose. I also have a 'Farting Santa' which I put on display at work every Christmas...Pinch his finger, he farts (with quite a repertoire I might add) and says things like: 'That's all YOU'RE gettin' for Christmas' and 'Up the chimney we GOOO!...The customers always get a kick out of it. Good stuff! - Tim

What a gorgeous modern Tanka dealing with the nature of the winds passed on from generation to generation of males. So it is passed on from father to son. This is deep with a thundering message. One easily gets your drift. I'm winded just thinking about it. It reads like a gentle breeze that slowly fills the nasal passages with its unforgettable scent. This really opens a window...or at least should...please!
Allison Avatar
December 17, 2014 at 6:06 PM
LOL Maurice - seriously we used to have to open the windows when beanz boy wafted in through the door - am convinced he was fed on beans curry and sprouts every weekend lol:-) Hugs jan xxx
