The Raven and I
When the raven flies high
So do I
And when the raven falls
I get stuck in these lonely white halls
Neither free when one is trapped
History repeats as time relapsed
Just as a raven caws for its broken wings
I lose myself in rage as my heart stings
As the raven loses hope for returning to the skies
I forget who I am and become absorbed in lies
Now the raven begs for his wings to heal
While crimson regret my heart must conceal
And when the raven's soul breaks and sees his time has past
I lose my mind and lose it fast
So as the night carries the raven's soul away
A fire burns my emotions assuring in the darkness I will stay
