The Rapture of Nothingness

The tentacles of darkness fills my heart. A thunderstorm of self loathing curses my Existence on this bubble of humanity Perhaps to burst one day releasing a Torrent of retribution for what I suffer. I've been forced to live the life I live Because society hands d me down its' verdict Of guilty as charge d for losing all I have Chasing the dreams of others while They laugh at the folly of misfortune. I am crushed underneath the weight of a fury. Forced to march in step with the others of the street Taking handouts from the sickingly prosperous humans Who won the game of life and now judge Me for what I am, not for why I was. I grasp at something to still this pain Of madness but nothing is there except anger. Relieve me from the bondage of self torturing Adventure and let me have the peace to cry Out to a god that placed me here to an endure The Rapture Of Nothingness.

Great poetry. Can feel the anger and desperation of those that have slipped through society's safety net. Congratulations Mark! :-)
