The Quest To Unravel Time
The doors of time open
Swallow perspective down a light tunnel
We reach with full breasted might
To shadow what came before
Riding the backs of endless generations
Their hands woven in the soil
Featureless faces lifting atom clocks
Above the heads where centuries wash
I am dull plated, unresisting
I only exist where leaves breathe
Where crested waves lap their rhythms
And sunlight spins the groaning wind
Creatures have fallen to the lashing sword
Veins splash across petrified wood
The toil of metal cringes through paper
Minds are planted like seeds in the sky
