The Princess and the Potato

"Why do you tell me to pound sand,
and say, 'A potato by another name is just as bland'?
If you will never take my hand,
would you, at least, eat me as we'd planned?"

"Do you take me for a peasant?
For me, potatoes are not pleasant,
and I must tell you that, at present,
I much prefer to dine on pheasant."

I know, and the strange thing is, I'm a vegetarian, and I love potatoes, was just looking at some nice potato, eggs, onion, cheese type recipes today. I think I've probably tasted pheasant as a kid. It seems like something my dad would have shot and brought home for my mom to cook.
