The Price of Procrastination
The price of procrastination
Why did we not stop?
And learn from the past,
Why did we not listen?
When questions were asked.
Why did we continue
On the road we were on,
Why send all the animals,
Where the dodo has gone?
Now the sea has no fishes,
The sky free from birds,
No lions or zebras,
No elephant herds,
The bees are not buzzing,
The flowers wilt and die.
No ants in a hurry,
No moths flutter by.
The wolves do not howl,
Hyenas don’t laugh,
There’s’ not enough leaves
For the starving giraffe.
Man talks and he talks,
Then procrastinates,
But we must stop it now,
Cause tomorrow’s too late.
