What would Jesus say to the pastor who ranted, “NO masks in THIS church”? July 28, 2021 MT. JULIET, Tennessee, July 27, 2021 The pastor of a Mt. Juliet church has threatened to kick out members of his congregation if they show up in masks amid a nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases fueled by the delta variant. During service on Sunday at Global Vision Bible Church, Pastor Greg Locke told the crowd, "Don't believe this delta variant nonsense. Stop it! Stop it!"

I have faith, go to church, have communion, but have had a few run ins with pastors especially if dogmatic and leaning towards one religion instead of universal faith! This pastor has fooled himself into thinking he has the power of the church behind him, forgetting that Jesus was often referred to as 'Man of God'. I have my Honors in the Spirituality of the Bible, so am a little pushy at times. How can he say this, when thousands are dying worldwide! Thank you for sharing Janice. Hugs Jenn.

If a lost person seeking spiritual answers comes up to that church wearing a mask, that pastor--and I use the term loosely!--will turn him/her away. He'd might as well just say "Go to hell! You're right--How can he send people away! Thanks so much, Jennifer! Janice

Interesting thought Janice, but he's only a servant in Jesus's house and whatever Jesus says goes. Tom

Not much different than commanding women to cover their hair because it distracted the angels . . . ..

Janice, thought provoking write, I am not sure what Jesus would say but to me even after vaccination and perhaps seeing others taking off their masks, if a person feels safe with a mask on, what difference would it make for them to be able to wear it in church or anywhere, I feel the pastor is wrong, just my opinion of course ~ love and serenity _Constance

Hi Janice, I think something like “ obey the laws of the land.” In my opinion, it's not right to kick folk out for wearing masks. Too many are dying of Covid. Thanks for sharing such a write. Have a great day :-) Alexis

I have no idea what Jesus would say to this "pastor," but I know what his Board of Deacons should say! Thanks, Janice.
