The Power of Words

Words Outlive

Culminated at a cease, a fate sealed tight.
Raise your thirst for fiction to set issues right.
Bestow on doubt with each dense mental wave.
Deception grips and reasoning cannot save.

Words that are both memorable and bold.
Attracts awareness, but the truth can't be told.
Because words outlive the time they are said.
And acts must follow aiming to be truly read.
 
So let us not be misled by meaningless talk.
or pledges that were offered but never chalk.
Words are potent, but actions speak louder.
And it is by the actions that we truly empower

Speaks Volumes June 18, 2023 at 4:15 AM This my friend is where the internet fails us. We only have words at our dosposal. But wait ! I am wrong ! I have heard it said, that we often forget the words people say, but we never forget the way they make us feel. In life actions are far more important and lasting, but on the internet its feelings that count. Again your wonderful poem is food for thought. Thank you dear SP
