The Population of One
Why make an enemy of a daughter or a son?
A sacrifice on the altar of your sacred opinion.
Birthday wishes celebration, no more segregation.
A fractured population, equals, less than one.
Between the we and me
There's no fences I can see.
But the borders that are there
secure identity.
Do they serve a purpose, beyond history.
After all the earth is a planet,
Orbiting the sun
And if it wasn't for the stars
We'd think it was the only one,
We can use the wind for power
Harness the power of the sun.
Then why cant we live together
And harness the power of one.
