The Pond

The water of the pond drying
For it turned into vapors.
In a few days,
The pond will become bare.
But the clouds, seen
In the distance turned away
In other directions.
In the shallow depths of the pond,
Fish are seen
Swimming here and there,
Gleaming through the waning stream.
But O wandering clouds,
Where have you flown?

The poem was adapted into a play by the renowned theatrical Organisation RAGA TARANGA, under the direction of renowned theater Director Satananda Sharma.

Wow, eloquent picture you created just gave me a flashback of a drying puddle in the riverbed by my house which had some tadpoles in it, which I took back to our house and put in a bucket.

Your poem touches me at the thought of those poor fish that would certainly suffer and die if no fresh water arrived to refill the drying pond. So fingers crossed for those clouds to come and save the day! // paul

"But O wandering clouds, Where have you flown?"-- Beautifully, powerfully said. Wish I had the answers...higher power does not always seem to listen...care.... Then at times when I seem to not have a prayer in the world...there is a miracle. Faith is a necessary mystery. Fascinating read. Thank you.
