The Pointy End of a Triangle
I loved a woman who loved two men.
She consumed me from the inside.
There are times I remember back then.
When she chose him it hurt my pride.
She consumed me from the inside.
I thought about her night and day.
When she chose him it hurt my pride.
It took all my courage to walk away.
I thought about her night and day.
A strange obsession that consumed my mind.
It took all my courage to walk away.
She baptized me in a love that made me blind.
A strange obsession that consumed my mind.
I deserved more than she was able to give.
She baptized me in a love that made me blind.
Now that the chains are gone I'm able to live.
I deserved more than she was able to give.
My moral compass helped me find the way.
Now the chains are gone I'm able to live.
Although she was amazing I could not be her slave.
My moral compass helped me find the way.
There are times I remember back then.
Although she was amazing I could not be her slave.
I loved a woman who loved two men.
Hi Debbie, I gave it a try. I like my other poem so
I am leaving that one as it was. Thanks for making
me think about the form.
