The Poet
I’m a poet, didn’t you know it?
I write for fun you see.
I dip my pen in an old inkwell
To make a stanza of three.
I’m a poet didn’t you know it?
I write a few lines of verse.
I like to rhyme each little line:
It is my passion and my curse
Im a poet didn’t you know it?
I write, and write some more,
And when I’m done I hope you see
Things a little different than before.
