the poem I writ

The poem I writ Just didn’t fit I wondered what To do with it I folded it With creases tight Launched it high Gave it flight It circled high Into the sun I wept, crying What have I done And yet I think I set it free By separating it From me

I know what you mean! Sometimes we have to let it go, though we wanted to save its lines…it just wasn’t the one. I wonder how many paper planes are in flight… hugs!

The little boy in you flew it as an airplane, rather than wasting paper. The poet in you put pen to another piece of paper.
