12/14/2023 Oh, since I was only a braided, wee bit of a thing, Pizza was even better, than owning a diamond ring. It was a taste of Italian camaraderie,also! We were joyful, there was no time for pretentious snoberry. I do confess to you I could eat Italian cuisine this very day. Sausage, provolne, garlic, are delicious alchemies any day! Add a spellbinding, multicolored, melting candle . The romantic scent of it was more than Ican handle. For centuries, this delicious food, in my life,leaves me exuberantly excited. I can even dream of this dish made by angels heavenly. And to think I am still eating it, way past age…seventy.

Thats a winner, Linda. As you know ai dont eat much, so rotstion is mot necessary.for me, i havent had pizza for a long time. When younger, it was a social event.. Bless Texas Pabgie

I love pizza too, but i think I will always prefer fried potatoes or popcorn and chocolate to all other foods. haha. Loved your poem and its tempting title

Andrea, I surely appreciate your honesty! I like those foods also! In Chicago, pizza is just divine! Anc better yet, a social event, we all looked forward to. I was sending you mental telegrams to reasd me… LOL. Golly, works better email)))) hope you will hace a great Christmas in Malta. I can’t imagine how great the food must be in Malta.. Italian food on the West Coast of California is not super but in Chicago where there are more Italians, it is I think you would laugh the food here that pretends to be Italian..)) my uncle Pietry cane here from Italy. I wrote about him in my poem about Venice.. Brother, open a huge restaurant in Chicago. The best one in the world. The waiters were Italian.. I should write a poem about that what a great place, Paul.. may the lights of this holiday keep your poetry shining, even brighter than it is. Panagiota

Hi Paula, I will be with you ..in soul, at dinner. Save an empty chair for me, please? I grew up on Italan food, my poem about Venice explains it! Thank you for being a standby friend. I realize I haven’t commented a lot lately, but I don’t think I need to explain why.i have been sad for a few months, and now I found my way out. I knew I would. It just takes time. I want to write about more than pizza.. or the clouds or the sky.. and the door is open for me to do that, so the time is now to write like I want to.. Free as a bird.Pangie

Pizza, one of my go-to foods when I need to gain a quick five-ten pounds, you know. lol. Honestly, it's a real treat. Can't stop eating it, though, kind of like tortilla chips. Oh, well. ~ Wait up, ... I can't fit through the door anymore!

I love pizza. But as I age I no longer can tolerate the red sauce. Sadly. Does that stop me? No! I have discovered pizza with white sauce doesn't give me heartburn lol. Your poem is fun and does inspire my taste buds. My mom is 74 and she no longer can eat pizza but loves it. You are fortunate you can enjoy it.

Hey Karen,Nice you dropped by~…i am an old buzzard who has can eat everthing, but in small amounts. I never heard of pizza with white sauce. Glad you told me about it and even better for you! Easier on the tummy. I confess to loving Chicago pizza nest. It started long ago.it came home in paper bags.NO never any delivery.there was only ONE pizza place.Angelo’s. Today, there are hundreds.))
