The Pilgrim's Prayer

Soon our days will be over
And to our home we’ll cross over
Slow and steady we strive each day
Oh lord our God be our guide we pray

Sin and self will always arise
Sword and staves seldom chastise
‘Tis to scare us to succumb to sin
Oh lord our God immunize us without, within

Stronger and stronger becomes our foe
And agile in seasons to bring us into woe
Our soul before our foes seems like an ant
Oh lord our God make us in you a giant

Each day on the way seems so hard
For foes and furnace wants to burn our ID card
Days and night the hostile hunter seeks our soul
Oh lord our God keep us till we reach our goal
