The Picture of My Soul

I can picture my soul, I really can
It is tiny and round
And it doesn't make a sound
It lives in my heart
And it is very smart
When I was a child, it was as pure as the virgin snow
Even in the dark I would see it glow
And it does turn grey
What can I say?
I'm not perfect, nobody is
But I say one act of contrition
To renew my mission
Then life goes on
And love is reborn
