The Phoenix

I used to have sullen eyes
Until I fully realized
Instead of pity cries
I am a phoenix rised
Out of the ashes, a new man reborn
Stitching together the sashes, what once was torn
Attempting to mend the unmendable
When I was at a time, so unfriendable
Kicking the trash to the curb
Self hate is absurd
Despite what you heard
Self spite can be cured
I write to be heard
Inspiration is spurred
My soul was disturbed, turmoil.. in a stir
Instead of a bark, i'll now be a purr
