The Philosophy of Currency

My power is absolute
I can make you feel like at the abyss of despair
The more you have me, the crazier you will be
I may be obvious to be seen but I’m too risky to devour

Maybe I am the one who ignite the fall of a kingdom
I’m not everything but everything needs me
Who created me? I care even less
I’m the one that brings prosperity and poverty all at once

People put numbers on my body for recognition
I was only made of papers and metals but people adored the most
For I can buy you diamonds or even the world in your hands
Perhaps I can be the centre of the universe, no one knows

There are people who extremely devoted in me
Having the expectation of me in their prayers
Just like I said, I may be the spirit of prosperity
But in instant, I can also be the spirit of greed

What am I?
Who has invented me?
What makes me to become the central of needs?
Why it has to be me, where there are others
Which are more valuable than me?
When I become the one to blame, eventually
