After all the movies I have seen during my lifetime, apparently I missed this one. Your poetic entry has few words, but it most likely describes this movie quite well.

I know (you told me) that you had been in storms similar and how this movie dramatised the whole exerience precisely.....and I believe you have done a very good job in this poem to show the essence of the story.....I wish you the best of luck in the contest Carolyn....Syd

When that ship overturned and took the lives of all those Gloucester swordfishermen, my heart sank along with the boat. And when Mark Wahlberg made his way to the surface calling out for his girlfriend, I started to cry. A memorable film and this even was a terrible tragedy. You describe the climax well in your lanterne. Best to you, Diane

This is a great entry Carolyn ! I did see the movie, yet, it was hard to stay focused on the actors when I had prior knowledge of the thousands of souls who lost their lives at sea, trying to feed their families ! Great write dear poet ! much love, james
