The Perfect Lawn

Oh I wish I had gone for the turf Instead of just seedin’ bare earth It would be lush and green And a joy to be seen I wish I had gone for the turf Oh I wish I had plumped for the turf Of the green stuff we have such a dearth The pigeons are feedin’ On all of my seedin’ I wish I had laid down some turf The next time will surely be turf I now know its value and worth For the grass seed’s a dud We’ve just patches of mud How I wish I had just bought the turf
