The Pause That Holds Me
The world does not beg to be held today
Doesn't demand my voice or my chase
It simply asks that I sit in the space between
Where breath is enough
Where time just is
There's no urgency here
No need to carve my name into the hours
Only the soft surrender of being
So I loosen the grip on the reins of time
Letting the wind unthread my worries
Not all journeys demand pursuit
Not all answers arrive in haste
Some things only bloom in stillness
Only find you when you stop searching
So I give up the chase for today
Letting it come
Letting it be
Letting the horizon rest
And I rest with it
