The Pathless Path

Line of inquiry:
"this form of dust is by God energised
wherein we are living light housed within
how may this truth be realised
show us oh monk, how to begin" Unseeking Seeker

This pathless path I’ve walked on for so long.
Some inkling do I have of where I’m going,
but is my little knowing right or wrong?
And on this path I’m on, have I been growing?
Uncertainties have plagued me on my way.
I’ve had to change my course a time or two.
The “way” is straight, at least I’ve heard them say,
but I’ve found curves. Please tell me what to do,
and will you show me, Monk, how to begin?
Your wisdom far exceeds that of my own.
I’m dust, you say, with God’s light housed within.
I want God’s light upon my pathway shone.
I think I know life’s meaning. Help me find
the clarity that clears all clouds from mind.

I like the tension between ‘the straight way’ we’re told exists and the lived reality of curves, doubts, and recalibrations. What moves me most is the humility in your voice, the willingness to ask for clarity while trusting that the light within is already guiding. A beautifully contemplative response to the inquiry.
