Thanks so much, Connie. Yes, I know as they were new to me, as well. I had to go searching for instruments because every letter of the alphabet is not represented by an instrument in the orchestra. And some that are cannot be found in the traditional symphony orchestra, i.e. the ukelele and the zither, for two.

Thanks, Anaya. That mixture of instruments is missing some of the more important in the symphonic orchestra, but I couldn't find them in my search for words to use. It's okay.

Thanks so much, Paula. I was shocked. I didn't think it would go anywhere. It was more like a word game than a poem piece, but, I'll take it! Ha! I do know that Caren is an extremely creative person, so I thought she might enjoy it even if it wouldn't place. Anyway, she gave it a second, and I am extremely happy about that.

Great effort in writing this poem, Milt. I enjoyed it very much. Just thinking about all the instruments was fun. Bill

I'm not sure it qualifies, in any sense of the word, but I really enjoyed putting it together. Now, raise your baton, and let's get the music started!

Quite a list there Milton, how on earth did you find the Lambeg drum, I'm impressed. Tom

I googled and I used wikipedia for a list of instruments. There were no common instruments for some letters, so I had to seek out the exotic ones. Weird orchestra, to be sure, but I did the best I could.

I remembered the Ocarina, an ancient wind instrument that apparently dates back 12,000 years!!!

Good one, Marco. I figured I'd use the OBOE since it really is an orchestral instrument. I don't think I've ever seen the ocarina played in an orchestra.

I learned a few new instruments. Very musically interesting, Milt.

Believe it or not, the idea came to during the night last night. I was trying to think what I could do for Caren's contest. I had a heckuva time finding some of instruments for every letter.
