The Only Chance

The only chance, we ever have, is when both of us can forgive, and forget, all the yesterdays. Everything that happened then, everything that happened within. Then, realizing and learning to embrace, each new day as a gift, not a guarantee, when we are allowed, to begin it in spirit, together. It's the only way it can work, and last, over the rest of a lifetime. No chance otherwise, same old, same old, why start again? It takes help, given and received, from somewhere, for hearts not to surrender, giving up resonance, with others once known.
