The Only Certainty

Sure ad the Devil holds the high card
and hangs the high roller
Sure as the screeching, distorted violin
can rear as magic
Sure as gravely pitfall beauty
will never die
so long as a man
with soul still sings
Sure as one my grows happier
while ten lose it all
Sure as love
Sure as love isn't
Sure as the truly free
are ridiculed
Sure as the truly blind
dance with ghosts
Sure as the ******** damns the mind,
but we could all use
some reckless nights
Sure as there is more temptation
than there will ever be nuns

The
                    only
truth
                    there
is
                         is
truth
                        of
self.
