There was never one moment
When I didn’t know that you were the one,
That special person – the revelation
My favorite song, the quiet moment when
Hope promised that there was more

There was never a day
When I wasn’t sure you were the ray
Sunlight falling across my life,
Silencing fear and wiping away each tear
With kindness, sincerity – the comfort
Knowing you were the star that shined
Glistening in the night, erasing
Sorrow and strife with your smile

There was never one moment
When I didn’t know you were the way
I would go if I ever had the chance
To love without conditions, to give a 
Piece of my heart, my tenderness

There was never a day
Once you came to be my best friend
When I didn’t know what it means
To feel feelings in ways that are wishes
Dreams brought to reality, dimming
The illusion that might have been before
The impression that this feeling – this love
Could possibly bring anything but beauty,
Feelings so beautiful they’re even better
Than the dream’s hope, the wishes
That foretold of the joy that is unspeakable –

Such a sweet love is inconceivable
Until it is the genuine – the actuality
The authenticity of a feeling that is our
Promise, our connection, our dream come true
