The Old Year

The old year is quickly retreating,
Its memories wispy and fleeting.
Though there’ll be a new start
I know deep in my heart
My mistakes I’ll, of course, be repeating.

I may make some resolutions this year. I usually don't. Isn't the news about growing anti - Semitism disturbing? Well people should take time to write limericks like you just did to lighten the load. I recommend you send something to Voices Israel newsletter which I have been publishing poetry for a long time. Belated Chanukah greetings Matthew A
