The Old Man Is Snoring

Pounding, drenching, teeming rain Is coming down so fast The flowers on my brand-new mum Are gone; I’d hoped they’d last. The downpours seem to alternate With lulls of less intent But don’t be fooled - the pace will soon Renew our discontent. Some places have tornado scares; For us, some floods may flow. It’s raining and it’s pouring; The old man is snoring so!

Think of the bright side: your air-conditioner got a rinse from all that pigeon poop! Aloha! Rico

This made me chuckle "But don’t be fooled - the pace will soon Renew our discontent."

Great one. The flooding rain killed my hanging plant. I hope all is well :)

We are getting some rain now here on the prairie and we really needed it. Soon the trees will turn beautiful colors and it will be harvest time. Good stuff here. God Bless, JB

(chuckle) Loved the allusion to the nursery rhyme in your poem about a rainstorm. Sorry it wrecked your mums.

Not much else to do when it's pouring down but have a snooze. Tom
