The old gray cat sleeps
Through most of the day
He came to my door
As a scraggly stray

Sounds like he found a home, one he is comfortable with. Nice slant on goodwill. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and for your kind words on my lanterne. Keep on writing! Karen

We are all cats in some ways at God's door, the only place we feel secure enough to sleep. God Bless you

Very loving description of the "old gray cat," Jim! The ones who find their way to our doors by chance are often the pets we love the most. Nice work! Carolyn
