The Ocean Blue

The waves lapping the hull of the boat.
Gentle rocking, lulling us to sleep.
Anchored offshore, we peacefully float.
Long awaited vacation, out in the deep.

This week is the best week we've ever spent,
Here on the ocean, alone with you.
Falling in love all over again
With you, the sailboat and the ocean blue.

No matter what I post here, I'll get ten points for it. Your poem is good.

Dreamy piece Francine. It's like closing ones eyes and the bluest of blue waves carrying me off to paradise >> James

Solitude with the self is fine. Gives you time to think but it can be lonely. Isolation with someone you care about and locking the world out is a whole different feeling. Just the two mates. This poem brought me back some moments.
