The Ocean

Swish swash, swish, swash Back and forth, to and fro You must keep steady watch Or you'll be gone before you know To witness is a gift To experience, a blessing Surrender control, and drift Be moved with no contesting Fingers braising as it breaks Skin heals, once emerged As if your on a date With the mighty Mother Earth Mindless chatter silenced Swaddled in nature's blanket The rocking results in wind All else, you soon forget A sandwich of clouds and waves You are, but a bobber in between Wedged in a beautiful array Of endless hopes and dreams
