The Observer

If there was a god
That looked down and saw everything,
If there happened to be some anonymous observer,
Somewhere a distant voyeur of human life,
Then maybe science wouldn't be so scary
And the answer ‘no’
So right.

Your poem reminded me of the Stephen King character Charles Jacobs in "Revival" -- science and religion!
