You know the pain and mental anguish this causes me. I've also written, made a video, spoken up... and still the atrocities go on. I've lost my faith in humanity. The one or two good ones don't outweigh the evil... would that they could.

It breaks my heart and brings tears in my eyes. We are all human beings, God created this beautiful planet yet there is so much cruelty and hatred in this world. It makes me horribly sad.

Palestinians, Jews, Christians, Arabs, Druz all lived in Palestine in peace before 1948, the only newcomers where white colonial Zionists from Europe, and later the USA that have zero ties to the land.

I was feeling the suffering of so many in this poem. Thank God for true Jews (your nurse in this piece) that do not all feel such hate. This is injustice, murder - may God have mercy on us all, no matter the religion.

Now for the irony, neither is Jewish, one from America, I guess one can say Christian Zionist, the other an Israeli Christian with family in Tel Aviv, whose voice is loud, even at the risk of herself and family. Zionism is less than 150 years old and not a religion.I just wish for freedom for Palestine and peace for all, thank you for such kind words.

Dear Arthur, your amazing poem is powerful, every line, a potent mix of imagery, physical and emotional, moves deeply down in one's core to linger in that mourning space. The tragic devastation is captured in your tortured verse, yet compassion, humanity and hope still find a place to thrive amidst a suffering and deathly hellscape. A heart-wrenching social commentary where the light of kindness still shines through the cracks. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

I only wish people could see the real news and situation, much is left unreported. :(

It is tragic that no one reacted as they killed innocent people.

Arthur, isn't it strange that when atrocities are pointed out to the Israeli government, the response is always, "It's under investigation." Israel should absolutely protect villages of Christians and Palestinians, so why does this happen? There's a huge problem when we view a segment of a population as subordinate or less entitled. The things that have been done to people turn my stomach. Shooting people lining up for food as is happening is another war crime that will likely never be settled.

I would not say restored, I would say there is good and evil, and we should not judge by race/religion etc but by the deeds and actions and in this case for many lack of action and silence! Thanks Viv :)

Happening right now as we speak, shooting people lining up for food, just bombed Lebanon again, and settlerers just burned another christian village in west bank. These monsters of evil never stop.
