The Nurse

Hurrying towards an alley. Chill air urges no dilly dally. Breath beneath cape rising. Inside a woman, in anguish, was writhing. The husband tried to wipe the beads of sweat, All in vain, a condition which she tried to forget. Childbirth pains suddenly revived. Cape off, the nurse has arrived.

Some of my darkest health problems, Victor, were given the light, when a nurse appeared. Love the poem and its highlight.

Wonderful that we have caring men and women in this world who will take on the nursing profession. I know it is not an easy job especially in these times with new viruses, bacteria, etc. turning up quite often. I enjoyed reading your work. Your visit to my page was delightful. Sara
