The Nightmares of My Mind

I smile as I remember the love of,
My life she was my world,
Except when she turned,
Into a demon with vile words.
These words uttered by the woman,
Who loved me and I did not recognize.
She still did not understand.
Mental illness is a living nightmare.
It can not be cured.
I could not unhear the words,
Spoken by her which pierced thru,
My heart like a knife.
Mental illness will always be a,
Living nightmare.
