Notes About The Poem

The Night Has Eyes

Your splendiferous day is finally complete.
Your grateful heart smiles, with joy replete.

Knowing you survived this day’s travails.
Unecessary, for you to get any hurrrahs and hails.

In your serene bed, beneath a soft quilt, you retire.
Knowing you did your best, and in some hearts, lit a fire

Outside, you observe, the deep onyx skies has eyes.
That love and care for you, ‘tis absolutely no disguise.

You surely are a child of a stupendous, watchful, universe.
Sent to planet earth, to express your vivid truth in verse!

Hi Karen! Wow! I honestly forgot I have written this phone. I read it like someone else wrote it I know I should but I just forget and move on and do other creations. Some great, so that’s so great but that’s OK.. I like this kind of poem that expresses gratitude and peace. Lord knows in this world we need inner peace so very much. I’m so happy you likedthisLpangie cx

Hello! You are right about the lyricism in this write. I always think I have no talent ar all. Perhaps, I will get over this, perhaps, never. But for sure, I’d rather be me,than a prancing Prima Donna! Most poets…here are realists, few Prima Donnas. I only know of one…a male!))) merci, Pangie

Dear Pangie, back again for another read my lovely. I’m going to fave it as well as I forgot on my last visit. Then, I can read it often at night :) Yes, I have experienced Deja vu quite a lot throughout my life and can sense things at times( inner sense) I think this is one of your best poems I’ve read so far! Absolutely delightful and enchanting. Sweet dreams for now dear, sweet friend. Hugs xx

Hi Christima! Please be assured that I am not wanting to have a big head! By that I mean, arrogance! I constantly doubt that my poems are any good. it’s been that way since I started writing four years ago. After over 3000 poems, I do have my favorites. Poets no which ones are the best.. so we both have déjà vu and our sensitive. That is a good thing.. it’s a good idea to read favorites that you chose! So sweet dreams to you and God bless you for making this a favorite. I think God helps us in our writing too, if we ask him.. I am not that arrogant to assume I’m perfect. There are people who think they are God’s gift to the universe.. I stay away from North Poets, I like the humble ones who do their best. Thank you for being so sweet and kind.. panagiota

Dear Pangie, this is such a wonderful poem dear one with a captivating title alongside the picture. It flows perfectly with great rhyming. Reading,’ the deep onyx skies has eyes’ makes retiring for the night so enchanting and so blessed to be a child of a watchful universe. I shall think of this heartwarming poem later, which fascinated me, when I look to the night sky to say goodnight. Thank you. Hugs to you dear Pangie for a peaceful, blessed 2024 xx

Wonderful to hear from you John… If one is speaking their heart? The truth is mightilty vivid. ! High oratort is unecessary in poetry and blunding as a snowstorm. Think of Frost . Simple words so viviidly true., eg, “ Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening.” HNY, John, Pangiota
