The Next Ten Years

If I may make a confession
Regression is my latest obsession

A lonely heart is a nostalgic heart
But the past can rip it apart

I keep tripping over yesterday
And if I keep falling I'll never find my way

So today I'm ready for the next ten years
As I eradicate demons and eliminate fears

And all the tears will be left in the past
Because life can surely be a blast

I'll no longer be devoted to a ghost
Who left me alone when I needed them most

Today I embark on a ten year plan
To become a better man

And if I may make a confession
This aggression will lead to succession

This is all the optimism you will ever need, and it sounds like a terrific start. "And all the tears will be left in the past Because life can surely be a blast". Nice!
