The new year is here again The people ar going gaga and gay. Ask them why they almost go insane Over the year that has come but not to stay. They tell you it's an avenue to celebrate And be merry cos they are alive. But I tell you friend, it is not so adequate To rejoice and injure yourself in the frenetic jive. But the year is an opportunity To review the events that are past And ponder on ways to improve your community Before events happening in it make you look aghast! The new year is not one for frenzied beats But one to bring out vibrant thoughts from the streets!
